Megan Farrell Named Equity/Title IX Coordinator
LGSUHSD is excited to welcome Megan Farrell as Equity/Title IX  Coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. While serving as our coordinator, Megan will also assist with other projects associated with LGSUHSD’s inclusion, equity, and empathy goals.  Megan will serve the district as a consultant in a part time capacity and will assist in the following important areas:
* Serving as the District’s Title IX Coordinator, leading Title IX intake, investigation and compliance efforts.
* Consulting and co-leading the District’s inclusion advisory committee
* Supporting human resources initiatives around diversity/inclusion recruiting and hiring plans
* Identifying and providing professional development opportunities for staff that will help reach diversity/inclusion goals
* Researching and evaluating potential options for student-focused Title IX and diversity/inclusion training 
* Providing content for communications around district goals on inclusivity, equity and empathy
Megan holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Loyola University, a Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School, and a Masters of Business degree from University of Maryland. She also holds certificates in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, Mediation from San Francisco Bar Association, Restorative Justice from the Center for Restorative Justice, and Mentor Coaching through the Coach Training Alliance, an International Coach Federation (IFC) program. Megan has certified training as Title IX Coordinator, Title IX Investigator, and Title IX Informal Resolution. She has recently served as Title IX Coordinator at Palo Alto School District and Notre Dame of Maryland University.  Megan has also provided risk and litigation management counseling to institutions, developed internal policies and procedures for education clients, and designed customized training programs for schools across the country.
